Magic Numbers Making of Always fancied a view behind the scenes where the printers get their hands dirty and the designers become extra excited? These photographs feature the work in progress Anja Sicka did in collaboration with Regine Grammlich of Druckerei K. Grammlich, Pliezhausen in 2011. The calendars they produced were printed in Offset Iris, a technique that is as beautiful as it is unpredictable. Colours mix directly on the machine, and their flow and outcome is something that can rather be observed and shaped in the process than foreseen or simulated beforehand. So once the layout was approved and the colours picked the adventure just begun...
